BEFORE: My daughter has been persistently asking to transfer to a new school for several months.
I had a lot of resistance to her request (it's a new school, the teachers are not great/ she needs to finish primary school at one school before transferring/ it's a whole event - we need to go, write applications/ I have to explain to the teacher why she is leaving, etc.).
As September approaches, I need to make a decision, and my daughter is increasingly insistent and has complaints about the transfer...
