Client's review of the GSR session: A 34-year-old woman with a family and one child came in with the issue of "irritation towards my husband and daughter; no matter what my husband does, he does everything wrong." However, she suspected that the root of this problem lay in her relationship with her father, who had abused her until she was 13.
We worked on the father's violence towards his daughter, and this work turned out to be much deeper than just her annoyance with her husband; that was only on the surface.
The client had been living with this nagging issue for 34 years, harboring negativity towards both her father and her husband.
Now, she can calmly be around her father and communicate more effectively with her husband.
